I fell in love with Noah and Star. Noah is definitely the epitome of the badass alpha biker. He falls in lust with Star he first time he sees her. Star is a mousey little spitfire who has gone through hell and survived never knowing what it's like to be loved but desperately wants to. The first time she sees Noah she's terrified but she wants him to show her who's boss. I think because she's been abused her whole life she's always been a lonely girl who needs to know what it's like part of a loving family more than she knows. Their chemistry is off the charts smokin hot! Noah is possessive and surprisingly sweet when it comes to Star and his sister Jules. The suspense is at times since exciting it had me bouncing in my seat. Lol. I highly recommend this book to everyone.Product details

This should have been a 5 star read. It really should have. The story was there, the characters were there. But, it was lacking. The story felt as if it was a movie playing in fast forward while all the important moments were glossed over, skipped or just missing. The story was a good one it just never reached it's full potential.
I haven't read an MC book recently and this book was perfect, I couldn't put it down which is always a good sign for me. This MC book wasn't the ugly violence but good romance with some sexual scenes but the story was good and suspenseful all the way to the end, my first book I have read from Shari Shade and I would buy her books in the future.
I firstly read book 1 of the series, then decided to buy the box set.
I didn't realize these were short stories, but I never felt like any thing was missing from the story.
These book are a really good read, I would recommend them to friends.

Alpha men , but still caring are my kind of men.
I love Noahand Star's story.

This book started out intense. And then it faded. While it had some action I felt like it glossed over most of the book and found it lacking. I wish I would have fallen in love with Noah and Star the way I wanted too, but they too were lacking. The potential was there, it just wasn't reached in my opinion.
That being said it was a quick enjoyable read and it wasn't a compkele waste. It had some intense moments and I did like the characters- even if I didn't love them.
This was a 3/5 for me.
I liked this serial. It was fast paced and full of interesting twists and turns. I really liked some of the characters especially Noah, Stone and Drew. I tried to like Star, I really did but she was just not my favorite type of female lead. In some ways I wish we would have learned more about her so I maybe could have understood her a little better but in the end she just ended up making me shake in disappointment my head a few too many times. Otherwise this was a really solid story, well written and I am glad I read it.
The Devil's Host is an enjoyable quick read and I loved the emotional depth the author gives her characters through the eyes of the heroine. I normally don't like first person POV but Shari does a great job crafting a rich story through the eyes of Star a damaged woman seeking a way to escape her past. Noah is an enforcer for a Motor Cycle club and their chemistry is hot.
The only reason I did not give this a five-star rating is because each section is a cliff hanger. I think I would be very upset if I didn't have the whole story to read. My suggestion to Shari is Just write the whole story and sell it for $3.99 instead of pissing off readers by leaving them hanging after each section and forcing them to buy the rest if they want to know how it ends. Most readers hate cliff hangers.
A true series tells the complete love stories of other characters in the world the writer creates not dragging out the one plot. I would like to see Ella find a good guy who loves children or Stone and Jules. Just saying. Honestly, I did enjoy the writing.
